According to reports, a total of six resolutions have been tabled by six groups comprising 559 members in the 751-member European Parliament.”According to news agency reports, the resolution tabled by the European United Left/Nordic Green Left (GUE/NGL) Group in the Parliament last week, which falls under the category of “Resolutions on topical subjects”, states, "The CAA marks a dangerous shift in the way citizenship will be determined in India and is set to create the largest statelessness crisis in the world and cause immense human suffering… Instead of addressing the concerns, offering corrective action, calling for security forces to act with restraint and ensuring accountability, many government leaders have been engaging in efforts to discredit, rebuke and threaten the protesters.Though no dates have been announced, it had been speculated that PM Modi may visit Brussels in March this year, but the anti-CAA resolution in the European Parliament may put a spanner in the works. The resolution by the EPP Group, the largest with 182 MEPs, says the law could have negative consequences for “India’s international image and internal stability”. Law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad indicated on Monday that the ministry of external affairs (MEA) will explain to the members of European Parliament about the CAA but took a jibe at it, asking why its members hadn’t raised the issue of victimisation of Hindus in Pakistan. The European Parliament is the legislative wing of the EU while the European Commission is the EU&8 in 1 multifunction wrench suppliers39;s executive wing. Most of the resolutions are critical of the CAA, while some also criticise the implementation of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam and the security lockdown and detentions in Jammu and Kashmir. With reports that the European Parliament is set to debate and vote on the resolutions, some of which state that the CAA marks a “dangerous shift” in the India’s citizenship regime and has “created the legal grounds to strip millions of Muslims of the fundamental right of equal access to citizenship”, Indian government sources had said on Sunday that “the EU Parliament should not take actions that call into question the rights and authority of democratically elected legislatures in other regions of the world”. French diplomatic sources in Delhi said France — a founding member of the EU — is of the view that the CAA is "India's internal matter" and that the "European Parliament is an institution independent of member states and the European Commission", indicating that there may be a rift within the European Bloc on the matter.Hoping that “sponsors and supporters of the draft will engage with us # to get a full and accurate assessment of the facts before they proceed further”, Indian government sources had further said that “every society that fashions a pathway to naturalisation, contemplates both a context and criteria (and that) this is not discrimination”, further claiming that “European societies have followed the same approach”. The most critical reportedly is the resolution moved by the S&D Group, the second largest group with 154 MEPs, which states the CAA has the potential to “create the largest statelessness crisis in the world”.New Delhi: The debate in the European Parliament on India's Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), scheduled for January 29 followed by a vote the next day, may trigger uncertainty over Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proposed visit to the Belgian capital Brussels for the India-European Union (EU) Summit later this year, sources hinted on Monday even as they sought to highlight that individually, European nations like France strongly back the Indian government's stand that the CAA is an internal matter of India.Government sources had further said that the CAA is a “matter is entirely internal to India” and that “this legislation has been adopted by due process and through democratic means after a public debate in both Houses of Parliament." ادامه مطلب

The 34-year-old from Ujjain, who has a black belt in taekwondo, has been overseeing the self-defence training of the first batch of women at the camp set up by the NSKFDC. I start panicking when I see a truck coming towards me.. I have all that I need. The scheme seems to be bringing these girls closer to their dream. But her family wanted her to get married, so she stopped reporting to us.There are also girls who have been driving e-rickshaws in the city. “This scheme has changed the way I look at life. “We have a case wherein a girl was trained and was employed.”But the journey of breaking free from their wretched jobs to one of respectability and empowerment hasn’t been an easy one for all these women. The mammoth task for the agencies working to rehabilitate these women is also to make sure that their families cooperate with them. The National Safai Karamchari Finance and Development Corporation (NSKFDC), which was tasked to train the women under the Swachchh Bharat Abhiyan in commercial driving, self-defence and soft skills, has already placed a few women as drivers in the city. The Central government has planned to set up 70 such camps in other cities as well, for which 12,226 manual scavengers have been identified in 12 states across the country.Another girl, Luxmi, who is currently employed as a driver in a private home, feels empowered after she was coached and rehabilitated by the corporation.02 lakh for training and rehabilitation of 2,390 manual scavengers and their dependents. I think it was a waste of talent. The training module for the two batches included soft skills and extensive training in basics of car mechanisms. The NSKFDC has signed a MoU with Ola and Uber to make sure that these women get a hands-on experience of commercial driving. To begin with, for this project, women who are part of families involved in manual scavenging in Delhi were identified, and training camps were set up near their homes in areas like Rohini, Dwarka and Mangolpuri. Until the time she gets her commercial licence, she has been temporarily employed by a young lawyer in Delhi. An official from the NSKFDC says that some of the parents refuse to allow their daughters to work. No one in my family has been in this profession. “Jab log gaadi chalate dikhte hain tab bahut achcha lagta hai. (It feels good to watch people drive. I get so scared that in my first job I almost caused a collision. Rakhi, 20, whose family has been cleaning septic tanks for almost two generations, is all excited to step into her new role as a cab driver.” But for every girl who drops out, there are cases like that of Mamtha Sangte, who was once a manual scavenger and who broke the cycle of poverty in her family by becoming a martial arts trainer. There is a need to educate the families on the importance of empowering these women. As a start, the Union social welfare ministry had released Rs China ratchet socket wrench 67. Now I drive my own life). I never thought I would become independent and have a respectable job. Ab mai apni life khud chalati hun. I will get another job soon,” says Sharda optimistically. I feel very confident every day when I go to drop my boss,” says a beaming Rakhi. I was told to leave. “I am still not confident enough.Women take part in a self-defence training session at a camp set up by the National Safai Karamchari Finance and Development CorporationAfter seven months of comprehensive training, around 400 women, who were earlier working as manual scavengers in Delhi, have procured their light motor vehicle driving licences and will soon be seen as smart cabbies zipping through the city roads driving Ola and Uber cabs. Federer was unrelenting and with Cilic&China scaffold ratchet wrench39;s brain still seemingly out of contact with his legs, the Swiss third seed broke in the seventh game of the third set as Cilic crashed yet another groundstroke into the net."Not to drop a set it's magical, I can't believe it just yet, it's too much really."It's cruel sometimes and he's a hero so congratulations on a wonderful tournament," Federer, whose tears were those of joy, said generously."For seventh seed Cilic, his first final on Centre Court became a nightmare broadcast to hundreds of millions around the world.Federer scented blood and quickly polished off the first set before breaking Cilic to lead 3-0 in the second. He missed a first match point when a forehand went wide but converted the second with his eighth ace of the match.Cilic slumped to his chair in tears as the physio and tournament referee attended him and for a moment it looked as though the final # might end in a retirement for the first time since 1911. "I've got to take more time off," Federer joked as his twin girls Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, who were there when he beat Andy Murray in the 2012 final, and twin boys Leo and Lennart, who were not, watched their father kiss the trophy he first won in 2003.The Swiss maestro, appearing in his 11th Wimbledon final, was challenged early on but once he broke a nervous Cilic in the fifth game of the opening set the match became a no-contest.Now he has 19 and looks capable of adding more.It continued a remarkable resurgence by Federer who returned from six months off at the start of the year to win the Australian Open – ending a five-year wait for an 18th grand slam many thought would remain elusive. "Sometimes you don't feel great in the final and it's cruel.Cilic required a medical timeout after surrendering the second set in 25 minutes – apparently suffering with a foot injury – but it was his spirit that was broken. London: Ruthless Roger Federer thrashed suffering Croatian Marin Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 to become the first man to win eight Wimbledon singles crowns on Sunday, five years after landing his seventh..Given sympathetic cheers by the Federer-favouring 15,000 crowd, the 28-year-old managed to regain his composure but there was no chance of Federer letting up as he accelerated towards the title he cherishes more than any. His legs looked heavy, his mind seemed a fuzz and at times he looked on the point of throwing in the towel – breaking down in tears at 0-3 in the second set. It's just belief, that I can achieve such heights. The end came quickly as Federer served at 5-4 to regain the title. Not that Federer was concerned as, 23 days before his 36th birthday, the father of four became the oldest men's singles champion at Wimbledon in the professional era – taking the title back without dropping a set throughout the fortnight."After a reasonably solid start, in which he had the final's first break point, Cilic cracked after dropping serve at 2-2 when his backhand went AWOL after a tumble earlier in the game. But I always believed I could maybe come back and do it again. I wasn't sure I would ever be here in another final ادامه مطلب

Mr Tusk said on Twitter on Sunday that “intensive work” in the next 24 hours was “crucial”, and he is set to decide on Monday night whether or not to go ahead with plans to submit a proposal for a British deal. The British Premier has set out four policy areas for EU reforms, but a EU source said of the talks so far: “Only one basket is really ‘clo-sed’.The European Commission said on Monday there had been “prog-ress”, especially on proposals for a so-called “welfare brake” that would allow London to immediately stop benefits payments to EU migrants in Britain. “The talks are going on non-stop, both negotiating teams are already in Brussels for further talks.EU warns Britain: Any deal will be hard wonBritish and EU diplomats raced against time Monday to seal a deal on changes to Britain’s membership of the bloc by the end of the day and allow PM David Cameron to hold a referendum as planned this summer. “It’s difficult,” said a source close to the negotiations ادامه مطلب
